Wuyi University (Jiangmen)

1. International students whoever meet the entrance requirements and willing to study in Wuyi  University should fill out the application form for international students and send it to Foreign Affairs Office of Wuyi University by fax or email. It may take about one month to go through the formalities. After getting approved JW-202 form from provincial government, the school will send it to the applicants together with admission notice from Wuyi University by mail, with which the applicants can apply for a student visa from the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in their home country.

2. If the applicants need to be meet at the airport, they should inform Foreign Affairs Office the exact information of their airline and the time of arrival and bear the expenses by their own.

3. International students must register at Foreign Affairs Office of Wuyi University at the specified time with admittance notification, passport, and 8 photos. They are asked to have a physical check up in Jiangmen International Tour Health Examination Center of Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau as soon as possible. Those who can not meet the healthy requirement according to Chinese hygienic and quarantine law should leave the country immediately at their own expenses. 

4. Commoners must pay, once and for all, for tuition, boarding and other related costs for at least one semester at the Financial Office within one week upon their arrival at WYU. Without permission those who don’t pay in one month upon their arrival must pay relevant late fee. Those commoners who would transfer, suspense his/her schooling, leave school or whose status as a student has been canceled, the payment for tuition and boarding will be refunded according to the rules concerned.

5. All international students should provide their passport, pictures, healthy certificate and resident application form for foreigners and go through the procedure for their residence permission in Jiangmen Security Bureau within one month after their arrival.

6. International students who are going back to his/her own country or other tourist areas during the period of their study or holidays must inform the head of their department and Foreign Affairs Office in written form of the their destination, time to return to WYU and way of contact before their leaving, and must take care of their personal safety and come back to WYU on time.

7. All the international students are required to leave school within 15 days after graduating or finishing their study from the university.

8. International students should bear all the expenses for register, insurance, textbooks, visa, transportation, board and lodging, communications and medical by themselves.
